The Good Safari Guide Safari Awards 2011 took place in Durban, South Africa, on the 6th of May 2011 and, as has become the norm in an industry filled with exceptional safari properties, the list of finalists and winners certainly lived up to high expectations.
Chiawa Camp in the Lower Zambia walked away with the prestigious awards of Best Safari Property in Africa and Best Safari Property in southern Africa while other notable winners included Chongwe River House, Nkwichi Lodge, Vamizi Island, Zarafa Camp and the Best New Safari Camp in Africa, Explore Gorongosa.
