Linyanti Bush Camp is situated in a private concession along the Linyanti River within the Chobe Enclave that borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park. With just six tents Linyanti Bush Camp will appeal to those visitors seeking an authentic safari experience whilst enjoying a high degree of comfort and personalised service in one of the best wildlife destinations in Botswana. From the outside the tents look remarkably plain and really quite basic but once inside they are deceptively spacious and feature some really nice touches of understated luxury. Each tent has en suite shower facilities, sitting area and a small deck. Set slightly off the ground the atmospheric open sided guest areas are under canvas and comprise a simple but attractively decorated dining area where meals are taken around one long table, lounge, bar and small library all of which have panoramic vistas of the Linyanti Floodplains and marsh.
The Linyanti area is known for its population of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers, especially during the dry season months of July to October. Other species that may be seen include the stately sable, rare roan, lion, leopard, wild dog, and a variety of the plains game. The rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile can be found in the surrounding marshes. Birding is outstanding with species ranging from the Okavango specials to a high concentration of raptors. Due the recent advent of year round water Linyanti Bush Camp is now able to offer both water and land activities. This means guests are able to enjoy game drives, bush walks, mokoro and boating excursions along picturesque waterways and channels as well as catch and release fishing.
At Linyanti Bush Camp the focus is very much on the safari experience, interesting and knowledgeable guides and attractively presented appetising bush cuisine.
