Selinda Camp is situated on the vast private Selinda Concession in the Linyanti region of northern Botswana. The camp is camouflaged on a shady island overlooking the Selinda Spillway, which is a seasonal waterway linking the Okavango Delta with the floodplains of the Linyanti Swamps. The main guest area is a series of wide decks covered by unique thatch work, designed and positioned to optimize the breathtaking views of the game-rich open plains and waterways. The open sided lounge is scattered with relaxing sofas and three-course dinners are served on the open "star deck", complimented by fine wines from the cellar. There is also a photo/art gallery and a curio shop.
The 9 spacious, luxury tents are set on raised wooden platforms, under cool thatch canopies. All the tents have ceiling fans and the mesh windows are softened by curtains. The twin or king beds are draped with four-poster mosquito netting and the stylish dark wood, leather studded furnishings have been collected from all around Africa. The "open air" en-suite bathrooms have plenty of natural light from the ¾ wood pole walls. The free standing bath tubs, double vanities and large walk-in showers are surrounded by discreet screening, which keeps the area virtually insect-proof. All the tents have folding doors which open to views across the palm-studded floodplains.
Relax beside the refreshing plunge pool and share stories at the traditional campfire. Go on morning, afternoon and night game drives with experienced, professional guides, enjoy the silence of the nearby hides, do some boating and fishing or take short guided walks from the camp to get to know some of Selinda's smaller creatures.
