Zarafa Camp is situated on the vast private Selinda Concession in the Linyanti region of northern Botswana, overlooking the Zibadianja Lagoon, which is the source of the Savute Channel. The main lounge and dining area is under open sided canvas, held firm between chunky natural wood poles. The traditional safari style furnishings create an ambiance of true African adventures of bygone years. Social relaxation and meals are enjoyed under the canvas or out on the deck, which is shaded by giant broad-leafed trees.
The 4 tented suites are luxuriously appointed with leather sofas and wooden kists. The elongated marquis style of the tents gives a soft draped look overhead, enhanced by lavish mosquito netting and curtaining. The spacious bedroom section has a canvas division leading into the adjacent sitting area, all opening out to a common full length deck with a private pool. The en-suite bathrooms feature unique copper heaters, indoor and outdoor showers as well as ornate copper baths set at the gauze windows. All the tents are positioned to maximize the views of the Zibidianja Lagoon.
The intimacy of this camp ensures a very personalised and private experience and is also conducive to bookings on an exclusive use basis. Enjoy morning, afternoon and night game drives with professional guides, brush up on your birding knowledge and go on guided nature walks from the camp.
