Dock House is situated in Portswood Close, opposite the Timeball Tower within Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. Originally built as a private residence for the Harbour Master in the 1800's, this building has been beautifully restored and finished with classic chandeliers and antiques. There is no guest lounge, just an intimate library and an elegant morning room. The tranquil outdoor dining area overlooks the oasis-like garden with its palm trees and stylish solar heated pool surrounded by relaxing shaded loungers.
There are only 5 rooms in this exclusive property, all of which are individually decorated in an elegant Victorian style and a spacious layout. All the rooms have air conditioning and under floor heating, plasma televisions with satellite channels, high speed wireless internet connectivity, electronic safes and international plug points. The en-suite bathrooms offer luxury amenities, bathrobes, slippers and heated towel rails as well as spacious separate baths and showers. The upstairs rooms have balconies overlooking the scenic harbour and the downstairs suite has access to a private garden.
