Hunter's Country House is nestled in the majestic mountains of the Tsitsikamma, located between Plettenberg Bay and the bustling town of Knysna on the Garden Route. This gracious family-owned retreat is known for its sheer comfort, gourmet cuisine and warm hospitality. The original thatched manor house is furnished with antiques and meals are served in the candlelit dining room, complemented by the finest estate wines from the cellar. The sun-drenched conservatory is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the 'Chapel in the Forest' is an angelic wedding venue.

The 21 luxurious suites are tastefully furnished with antiques and dainty chandeliers, they are air-conditioned and have open fireplaces and private patios, mini bars, hair dryers, complimentary tea and coffee stations and spacious en-suite bathrooms. They are individual units, privately positioned along the winding paths of the country garden. Some are ideal for families, with sleeper sofa's and space for extra beds or cots, others have a separate lounge and dining area with a private pool and garden, while the Forest Suite is literally a small house, complete with a butler's kitchen, and guest restroom, a split level dining room and a large lounge leading on to the outside entertainment area, private thatched gazebo and private swimming pool.

There is a choice of activities including bird watching, forest trails, horse-riding, deep-sea fishing, sailing, canoeing and mountain biking.
