Jamala Madikwe Royal Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa's North West province. Offering a very personal and intimate experience the guest areas of this delightfully stylish safari lodge exude opulence and flair. Crisp white sofas are splashed with silky silver and burgundy throws, the heavy dark wood furnishings of the library cabinets are complemented by glistening white concrete floors and natural stone packed walls. Crackling fireplaces and well placed lanterns warm the interiors, while roof to floor glass doors fold away to endless timber decks, with views of the open savanna and a busy waterhole. Silver service dining is enjoyed indoors or al fresco in the stone framed boma.
The five guest villas also enjoy expansive views of the savanna and the watering hole. Spatial elegance is to be found throughout each private sanctuary where a bedroom, separate lounge and gracious bathroom are all luxuriantly appointed. Polished flooring, crisp linens, romantic mosquito netting and furnishings are offset by rich dark woods and colourful African oil paintings. There is plenty of space for private indoor or outdoor dining and the comfy sitting areas are set beside a cosy fireplace.
