Elephant Camp is beautifully situated on a private concession just outside Victoria Falls with magnificent vistas of the distant "smoke" cloud from the Falls and the ragged grandeur of the 110 km long Batoka Gorge. Elephant Camp offers the best of both worlds as it is far enough out of town to offer seclusion, peace and quiet in an African bushveld setting and yet close enough for guests to enjoy the many attractions and activities for which Victoria Falls is famous for.

Elephant Camp features nine large indulgent Bedouin style tents, complete with en-suite bathrooms, bath, indoor and outdoor shower. Designed to make the most of the view the mosquito proofed tents have a lounge area, private viewing deck and a welcome plunge pool as well as air-conditioning, mini bar and tea/coffee station.

Overlooking a waterhole as well as the spray from the Falls in the far distance the main guest area is a large tented structure. The lounge, bar and dining area lead out to a sun kissed pool from where the water rushing over gorges becomes a constant beat and soon settles into the background like an old friend. It is calming and therapeutic to sit back, watch and listen to "the smoke that thunders"...

All guests staying at Elephant Camp will have an opportunity to meet the elephants at the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary. This is on an interaction basis only - an elephant back safari can easily be booked but it is at additional cost.
