Gorilla Tracking with Mark Tennant, Uganda

Mark Tennant

Mark has been involved in the wildlife and tourism industries since the mid-eighties when he worked for the Vulture Study Group. As he watched the vulture, and learnt about them, he became more and more fascinated by this bird and its habitat. Soon his part-time ventures into the wilds of Africa became full time.

Gorilla Tracking with Mark Tennant, Uganda

Mark Tennant, well known for featuring in the Animal Planet series "Mad Mike & Mark", leads this exceptional journey of discovery into the forests of Uganda to uncover the mystery and fascination that surrounds the central African primates. These days Mark focuses on many spectra of the wildlife field: private guiding, photography, tourism marketing and conservation. He specialises in privately guided safaris in some of the most pristine and remote wilderness areas in Africa and is always happy to share his knowledge and love for the African wilds.

The 10 night gorilla tracking safari includes overnighting in world-renowned wilderness areas including Kibale National Reserve, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Mburo National Park. All of these boast an unbelievable species diversity and besides the possibility of viewing gorillas, chimpanzees, black and white Colobus, L'hoest monkeys and grey cheeked mangabys amongst others there is also the opportunity for extensive (and unusual) game viewing and bird watching in the forests and savannahs of Uganda.

Mark's passion for birds, frogs, butterflies, paleoanthropology and human origins, coupled with his energetic and enthusiastic personality ensures that you are in very competent hands for the journey of a lifetime.
