In the summer months of December to March the rolling grasslands of the stunningly beautiful Nyika Plateau is a botanist's delight with masses of wild alpine flowers including 11 localised orchid species, exquisite dieramas, gladioli, protea and kniphofia. Peak orchid viewing months are January and February.
