Amboseli National Park - A Land of Giants

Amboseli is situated North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Here you can view concentrations of wildlife in the dry season. The National Park has 5 distinctive habitats, open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland, and covers past of a pleistocene lake basin, which now is dry. Here in this basin you will find a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli. It floods during years of heavy rainfall. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty - the landscape is dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro.
